Forklift / Hi-Lo Driver Job Description
A Forklift / Hi-Lo Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and organize materials within warehouses, manufacturing plants, and distribution centers.
5AM-4PM (Shift) Monday - Thursday
Contract to Hire after 90-days
Key Responsibilities
Operate forklifts, hi-los, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other products to designated storage or production areas.
Perform routine equipment checks, including fueling, charging, and minor maintenance.
Ensure proper stacking, labeling, and securing of materials to prevent damage.
Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory transactions.
Follow all workplace safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
Assist with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications
Valid forklift / hi-lo certification (company or OSHA-approved).
Proven experience operating forklifts or hi-los in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Basic math, reading, and inventory management skills.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or shifts if required.
