What you will do :

• The Shipping Supervisor will maintain open communications with internal / external contacts.
• Responsibilities will include plant security and plant burden.
• Coordinate with the team on all freight rate exceptions.
• Supervise loading of trucks in accordance with the written load plan.
• Conduct load verification and / or blind tallies and supervise corrections when needed.
• Ensure forklift drivers perform daily operator's checks and fill fuel tanks at the beginning of the shift.
• Supervise the pre-staging of lumber for special orders,
• Conduct daily spot inventory of the warehouse and perform inventory adjustments when needed.
• Obtain weekly run schedule from Planer Supervisor and relay information to Sales in a timely manner.
• Print daily reports and ensure correct distribution and daily shipping values balance.
• Coordinate efforts between departments to ensure inventory is stored in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.
