Position Overview :
As our Certification Compliance Specialist, you will review and disposition supplier technical packages (certifications) for compliance to all contractual requirements. The ability to thoroughly understand contract flow-down of requirements, order of precedence, technical and quality requirements is crucial. Must be able manage extensive documentation with extreme attention to detail. Excellent communication and time management skills are required. Familiarity with material testing, material processing, quality systems, corrective action management and continuous improvement is desired.

Your Day To Day As A Certification Compliance Specialist :
Review supplier technical packages for verbatim compliance, document deviations and attain corrections as needed without regular supervision. Packages include material test results, heat treat documentation and plating certifications.
Interpret military and commercial material, processing, testing and quality specification requirements.
Interpret customer product drawings and technical document requirements.
Interpret in-house technical and quality documents and procedures, operational sketches, routings and purchase orders.
Generate certification review checklists.
Generate work orders for internal and external laboratory testing.
Work with Materials, Quality, Product & other Engineering groups, Purchasing, Receiving Inspection and suppliers as needed to resolve technical deviations. Qualified candidates may be able to provide technical support more independently.
Continuous effective communication with Buyers, Planning, Receiving Inspection, NDE and vendors. Vendors include heat treaters, mills, foundries, forgers, platers and machine shops.
Required Qualifications :
High school diploma or its equivalent is required. Advanced degree in an engineering or quality-related field preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in quality control is required, though all candidates will be considered. Education level will be considered in place of years of experience, salary will be commensurate with experience / education.
Previous experience with, or a demonstrated ability to perform compliance review.
Strong verbal skills and clear, concise compositional skills.
