JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our growing team.

The role focuses on concepts, systems, and tools. The continuous improvement tools and process improvement techniques are proven in achieving business excellence on a worldwide scale. Under the guidance of the Plant Manager, the Continuous Improvement Manager will facilitate and teach CI initiatives designed to eliminate waste and non-value-added activities and improve performance in People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory. This position will teach, coach, and facilitate improvements using Continuous Improvement concepts across their defined plants.

Principle duties and responsibilities include :

• Work with local plant team in analyzing key performance indicators to ensure improvement efforts are strategically aligned and adding value to the bottom line.
• Work with plant departments to coach / develop plant Continuous Improvement resources and leaders to support the growth in capability (skills, culture and coaching Kata) for sustaining continuous improvement.
• Facilitate and co-facilitate various Continuous Improvement related workshops, training events, projects / Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, process flow charts, line balancing, A3 Thinking and other tools for improvement results that can be leveraged across plants and product lines.
• Ensure that Continuous Improvement training, tools, assessments, and resources are available to employees at all levels and are being utilized appropriately and effectively across plants and functions, including the Jeld Wen JOS Model.
• Provide progress reporting to Plant Manager for tracking results to strategic plans and KPI's.
• Coach the process of developing and deploying effective standard work practices across the plant. Share and reapply proven methods across locations as appropriate.
• Work across business practices to remove barriers and streamline processes by understanding internal and external customer requirements.
• Manage stand alone projects that are assigned by the Plant Manager to support the growth and improvement at the plant level.
