As a Sous Chef at SLS Hotels in the Van Nuys area, you will play a vital role in our culinary team. We are seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to assist the Executive Chef in managing our kitchen operations. The successful candidate will have a passion for the culinary arts and be responsible for helping plan and direct food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and managing inventory.
Responsibilities :
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of food preparation and cooking
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create innovative and exciting menu items
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements :
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchenExcellent knowledge of culinary arts and cooking techniquesStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure and in a team environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsFamiliarity with food safety and sanitation regulationsCulinary degree or equivalent experienceBenefits :
