A preferred candidate will possess the following core competencies :
Minimum qualifications include three years of human resources experience; or six years of full-time experience in any field; or a bachelor's degree. Experience substitution is also possible.
Job duties may entail serving as the liaison between all parties involved in Workers Compensation claims, serving as the subject matter expert for Americans with Disability Act (ADA) and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), coordinating with the appropriate chain of command to assess any work restrictions and help facilitate employee return to work, receiving, analyzing, verifying and processing all documentation for Worker's Compensation claims, checks and leave buybacks, processing all actions in relation to position descriptions including updates, reallocations, new positions, job corrections, and appeals, making recommendations to HR management and agency managers on optional pay mechanisms, and processing all optional pay requests approved by the department. Other duties may be assigned.
