Job Description

The Patient Transporter is responsible for the safe and timely transport of SRALab inpatients to and from scheduled appointments to internal departments / clinics within the hospital. Transports inpatients to external appointments at nearby partner hospitals / clinics locally. Compassionately engages and escorts patients and family members. The Patient Transporter is effectively the lone liaison of SRALab for patients and family during the transport sequence. Internal Transport

• Rendezvous with nursing / admin staff, patients and family members at designated pick-up / drop-off points to transport
• Transports patient via wheelchairs, beds, stretchers to appointments internally Actively engages patients and family during transport
• Ensures proper handoff of patient to appropriate staff at the destination
• Conducts return transport procedures, confirming proper handoff to nursing unit staff
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following all policies and procedures.

External Transport

Working Conditions

Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.

8 : 30 am - 5 : 00 pm Monday through Friday

Rotating every other Saturday 6 : 00 am - 2 : 30 pm

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range : $16.60 - $22.00 per hour
