Key Responsibilities of the Pathology Assistant :

Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens.

Assist with autopsies, including evisceration and dissection.

Ensure accurate specimen handling, documentation, and workflow in the pathology lab.

Prepare specimens for histological processing and special studies.

Collaborate with pathologists and lab staff to ensure diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathology Assistant program.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pathology Assistant.

Certification as a Pathologists’ Assistant (ASCP) preferred.

Strong knowledge of gross anatomy, pathology techniques, and lab safety protocols.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
