Join Ukrop's Homestyle Foods as a full-time Sanitation Team Member. In this role, you'll help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment in our crossdock area. You'll play an important part in supporting our operations by ensuring all equipment and workspaces meet sanitation standards. The hours for this role are 7am - 3 : 30pm, with overtime as required for production needs.

As an Sanitation Associate, team members perform a variety of basic duties associated with equipment cleaning and sanitation processes, to ensure compliance with regulatory food safety and environmental laws are met; adhere to sanitation and continuous improvement programs that ensure that the facility is maintained at SQF level of cleanliness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for facility and equipment cleaning and sanitation to ensure compliance with regulatory, food safety and environmental laws.
- Assist in ensuring that the facility is always maintained at SQF level of cleanliness.
- Ensures all sanitation, equipment and facility cleaning, programs and documentation are met according to guidelines.
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning of facility restrooms, break rooms and common areas.
- Work in conjunction with other associates in cleaning equipment.
- Ability to disassemble and assemble equipment for cleaning.
- Work in wet and hot environment.
- Handle and apply cleaning and sanitizing chemicals safely.
- Follow cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
- Maintain sanitation equipment in a clean and organized manner.
- Able to follow instructions from the lead.
- Document activities when appropriate.
- Perform other tasks as required by Team Leader.
- Assisting in ensuring that the SQF system is in place and that we follow all aspects of HACCP plan, SSOPs, and GMPs throughout the plant.
- Reporting all food safety issues to an immediate supervisor.
Preferred Education and Experience
High school degree / equivalent preferred but not required.Previous food service, manufacturing or warehouse training / experience preferred.Required Skills and Competencies
Must be 18 years of age or older.Ability to communicate with supervisor and coworkers.Ability to work in a team environment.Ability to work in a time driven atmosphere and follow strict timelines.Ability to pay attention to detail.Ability to work flexible schedules as needed.Working Conditions
Standing and / or walking for a minimum of four hours.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Exposure to extreme variations in temperature caused by equipment.Position may require working in warm environment up to 105 degrees (oven room / sanitation Crossdock).Repetitive bending, reaching, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting product.Benefits
