Lead Housekeeper

The Lead Housekeeper assists the Housekeeping Manager and supervisor in maintaining high-quality cleanliness and laundry services throughout the community. This role ensures staff follow schedules, supervises daily housekeeping and laundry operations, conducts inspections, and fosters a team-oriented environment that upholds a high standard of service.

Essential Functions :

• Maintain housekeeping work orders in Worxhubs
• Makes sure all housekeeping schedules are completed
• Provides feedback to the Manager on departmental issues, resident / staff concerns, and employees' performance
• Performs day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
• Makes sure all setups and take-downs are completed
• Responds to any calls for housekeeping requests or emergencies
• Assures assigned work areas are maintained in a safe and clean manner. To train staff on cleaning procedures and safe chemical handling
• Assures established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained, as needed when performing housekeeping procedures
• Reports all hazardous conditions or equipment to the Manager
• Is aware of Presbyterian Homes Corporate Compliance policies including those having to do with confidentiality and security of information, and concern for the well-being of residents and patients. Demonstrates behaviors and completes work in a manner consistent with these policies
• Adapts to changes in responsibilities in a positive manner, is receptive to new ways of completing tasks, and is flexible in carrying out assignments
