Head of Manufacturing - Horseheads, NY

Siemens Mobility is investing $60 million in a first-of-its-kind, 300,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Horseheads, NY. This site will produce the American Pioneer 220-the first true high-speed trainsets built in North America-serving Brightline West’s Las Vegas to Southern California route. The facility will create approximately 300 high-quality jobs and redefine the future of U.S. rail manufacturing!

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at our new Rolling Stock (RS) facility. This is an outstanding opportunity to shape the future of American rail by driving innovation, operational excellence, and a culture of ownership.

What your day-to-day will look like :

• Lead all aspects of day-to-day operations at the Horseheads facility.
• Drive lean manufacturing practices and ensure safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with Project Management and other departments to align business objectives.
• Develop and implement a multi-year strategic vision for the site, and identify opportunities for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Champion EH&S initiatives and promote an Ownership Culture.
• Build and maintain a strong operations team with excellent employee / labor relations.
• Manage operational expenses and deliver on budget targets.
