Job descriptionSHOULD have / bring a STETHOSCOPE 2 Years Minimum Experience Required Clinic WILL ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers Locals are ACCEPTED REQUIRED Certs : BLS, Chemo (ONS / ONCC) Work Setting Skills REQUIRED : Infusion Center Biotherapy Skills REQUIRED : Active Immunotherapy Specific / Non Specific, Cytotoxic Therapy & Recognize / manage side effects Chemotherapy Skills REQUIRED : Administration of chemotherapy, Body fluid handling post Chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, Management / disposal cytotoxic spills, Monitor chemotherapy, Oral Administration of chemotherapy & Recognize / communicate abnormal lab values Medications Skills REQUIRED : Antiemetic, Antitumor, Antibiotic, Corticosteroids, Neupogen & Hormonal therapy Oncologic Emergencies Skills REQUIRED : Anaphylaxis Pain Management Skills REQUIRED : IV push narcotic agents Patient Ratio Experience REQUIRED : 1 : 7 Professional Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED : Care coordination, Isolation Precautions & Neutropenic precautions Psychosocial Care Skills REQUIRED : Patient / Family education and support Bone Marrow Transplant Skills : Stem cell therapies Care of Patient With Skills : Bladder / Kidney Cancer, Brain cancer, Breast Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, Ear / Nose / Throat Cancers, Kidney Cancer, Leukemia / Blood Dyscrasias, Liver Cancer, Lung cancer, Melanoma, Multiple Myeloma, Lymphoma / Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, Ovarian Cancer / Uterine Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer & Prostate Cancer Chemotherapy Skills : Continuous Infusion of chemotherapy IV Therapy / Infusions Skills : Accessing Ports, Administration of coagulation factors, Administration of blood & blood products, Care and management of ports, Central line blood draw, Central Line / Implanted Line Care, Infusion pump management, Intravenous hydration / multivitamins, PICC line care & Starting and maintaining IVs Oncologic Emergencies Skills : Acute Tumor Lysis Syndrome (ATLS), Extravasation injury, Hemorrhage, Sepsis & Spinal Cord Compression Professional Knowledge & Skills : Foley catheter insertion / management & Phlebotomy skills Symptom management Skills : Alteration in skin and mucous membranes, Altered mental status, Constipation / diarrhea, Dysphagia, Edema, Nausea / vomiting & Neuropathy PREFERRED Work Experience - EPIC and Community Hospital Experience PREFERRED Certs : OCN Avg. Daily Census : 75-90 Our department has 80 treatment bays with a mix of beds and chairs. 63 Chairs & 17 Beds / Stretchers SHIFT : 40 Hours 13 Weeks. 10 HOUR DAYS; 07 : 30 - 18 : 00 RTO : 7 DAYS MAX for AUTO OFFER Call Requirement : NONE Float Requirement : NONE Weekend Requirement : 2 per 6 weeks / The 2 Weekends vary depending on the volumes on our schedule. They would typically be 6-8H shifts. Weekends would be negotiable in order to meet their 40H / week. PATIENT AGE GROUP : Adolescents, Adults & Geriatrics PATIENT DIAGNOSES : All cancer diagnosis, Classical hematology, Malignant hematology Blood administration and monitoring Medication administration and monitoring Chemotherapy / immunotherapy administration (including intravenous, subcutaneous, intramuscular and intravesicular routes) Central line management / lab draws Therapeutic phlebotomy Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) placement Clinical assessments and management of patients with blood disorder Chemotherapy / Immunotherapy for oncologic purposes that are not provided in the inpatient setting Clinical Research including Phase 1 trials Proficiency : Our seasoned team of professionals has years of experience and we are dedicated to provide the highest quality service to our clients and candidates.
