Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for an ambulatory care setting focused on colorectal surgery.
This role involves working a 5x8 day shift.
The nurse will provide care for patients with a variety of colorectal conditions.
Responsibilities include performing special procedures such as anal manometry, flexible sigmoidoscopy, ostomy marking, and care.
The position requires proficiency in utilizing specialized equipment, including anal monometers and flexible sigmoidoscopes.
The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary support services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Patients will include adults and geriatrics with diagnoses ranging from hemorrhoids to colon cancer.
The daily patient census will typically range between 25-45.
Strong assessment and communication skills are essential for patient education and care coordination.
Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols, including universal precautions, is required.
The nurse will manage responsibilities such as medication reconciliation, vital signs assessment, and dressing changes.
