DESCRIPTION of the position : Full time school days Speech Therapist to work with children on the autism spectrum ages 5-19

LOCATION : Bay Parkway, Brooklyn 11214

SCHEDULE : Monday - Thursday 9-4pm, Friday 9-1pm

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Job : Work with children on the autism spectrum ages 5-19 to do direct therapy and instruction in various settings throughout the day, target peer interactions, provide support for other adults (parents, staff in the school) and write periodic progress reports and updated treatment long term and short term goals.

REQUIREMENTS of the job : Must have a minimum of 1 full year of experience with children with autism. Must be ASHA Certified Education requirements : Must have degree and / or license in the State of NY.

Company Description Our Future School - Atidaynu Our program is designed for students who are diagnosed with Autism and have language, social skills development, and academic needs. We provide direct social skill instruction intensive language instruction, and academic instruction. We integrate an ABA approach as well as a structured classroom setting. All of our lessons are modified to ensure that students with ASD can gain the most from the curriculum. We have built a curriculum that consistently emphasizes two objectives that are inter-woven into aspects of the daily schedule : The importance of proper communication and self-awareness.
