Structural Bridge Project Manager

We have a career opportunity for a Structural Project Manager with experience in the design and management of bridge and transportation projects. The ideal candidate will also have experience in bridge inspection, load ratings and asset management-related services. This person will serve as a key leader in our Kansas / Missouri Division and contribute to initiatives that drive the overall growth of our practice.As a Structural Project Manager, youwill have the opportunity to manage assigned projects, providing direct supervision, mentorship, and overall leadership.

Location

We are open to hiring candidates located anywhere within Kansas or Missouri. Our Kansas Division has six offices, including : Kansas City, KS; Topeka, KS; Wichita, KS; Manhattan, KS; Lenexa, KS; Kansas City, MO.

This position allows a hybrid work schedule, with employees working from one of our office locations when feasible. For candidates not located near one of our offices, we are open to considering a fully remote work arrangement.

The Impact You Will Have

• Serve as project manager on bridge and transportation design projects
• Create and execute project work plans including developing project scope, schedule and budget estimates
• Manage project teams, accountable for budget and schedule
• Mentor junior staff
• Contribute to Kansas Division strategic growth initiatives
• Champion relationships with key clients, including KDOT and / or MoDOT
• Represent Benesch at industry and professional engagement events
• Ability to identify opportunities and lead strategic project pursuits
• Identifying resources needed and effectively delegating staff duties and responsibilities
• Create and Executeprojectwork plans
• Serve as the primary interface between the clients and staff for a givenproject
• Coordinate, monitor, and review work performed by sub-consultants
• Promote the team environment and communication and identify and address team conflicts
• Networking, including activeparticipationinand leadershipofprofessional organizations
