POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Fosters a positive and safe learning environment.
• Establishes positive and trusting relationships with students and families.
• Implements restorative practices and effective classroom management strategies.
• Works collaboratively with team, instructional coaches and administration to employ best practices.
• Plan and deliver educational instruction using the most efficient and effective methodology for the students assigned in both whole group and small group settings.
• Conduct and facilitate standard based assignments, projects and assessments that are research based and appropriate for the students assigned.
• Utilizes data to drive whole group and small group targeted instruction.
• Provide corrective feedback to students, and re-teach as necessary, to ensure that the students have mastered the objectives.
• Conduct research and read professional literature in the subject area of the assignment.
• Collaborate and clearly communicate with parents / guardians, and other educators to assist the students.
• Implement the approved-course curriculum effectively.
• Implement modifications in a student’s education plan as required.
• Consult with other school staff as necessary to complete the functions of the position.
• Complete written reports, and assigned administrative tasks related to these functions.
• Demonstrates strong classroom managements skills.
• Utilize preventive discipline methodology with assigned students.
• Model positive character virtues and habits.
• Assist students in developing positive moral and performance character attributes.
• Partner and communicate proactively with parents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Principal / School Leader.

Preferred Qualifications :

Education : Bachelors degree in Education or related filed

Arizona Level 1 IVP Card

Licenses & Certifications : Preferred, but not a requirement - State Teaching Certification

Experience : 1-2 years successful teaching experience.

Knowledge, Ability & Skills : Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills; ability to perform independently.

Ability to remain pleasant and helpful under sometimes-stressful circumstances.
