SUMMARY
The position of Certified Medication Aide would function as an interictal partof the clinical team at Brethren Retirement Community. Working within their scope of practice theCMA would help the Charge Nurses in their med pass. When they are not helping with med passesthey would be expected to work as an STNA or Resident Assistant helping theElders with care needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and / orEXPERIENCE
Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be a Certified Medication Aide in the State of Ohio. Must have a good understanding of medical andpharmaceutical terminology.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating andmaintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routinereports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups ofcustomers or employees of organization. Ability to read, write, and understandEnglish language. Ability to transfer information to applicable forms.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and dividewith 1O's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units ofAmerican money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Able to understandpercent of food intake, convert ounces to cubic centimeters.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed butuninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problemsinvolving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
