We are looking for a skilled Controller to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia, on a long-term contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a non-profit organization by providing expert guidance in accounting and financial management within NetSuite.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for financial transactions within NetSuite.
• Oversee and manage the general ledger to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure compliance with established accounting standards.
• Provide expertise and advice on complex accounting and finance matters.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize NetSuite functionality for financial processes.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and analyses to support organizational decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and policies.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records and transactions.
• Train and support staff on best practices for using NetSuite in financial operations.
• Expertise in NetSuite, including software implementation and optimization.
• Proven experience in managing general ledger and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation processes.
• Ability to design and implement standard operating procedures for financial workflows.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively train and collaborate with team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
