Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 7556)

Responsibilities
- Provide best-in-class guest service : greet guests promptly; respond to questions / concerns quickly and courteously; assist guests with meeting their video gaming needs; inform guests of promotions; recommend additional items as appropriate; demonstrate selling behaviors during every transaction; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks.
- Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
- Process guest purchases / returns accurately using the POS system; ensure correct changes, provide receipts, and maintain high-quality guest service.
- Respond to guest questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate.
- Promote GameStop guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in, Pro Rewards).
- Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates in company policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines.
- Observe associate performance and provide feedback; address unsatisfactory performance as directed.
- Provide recognition and feedback to associates; document feedback in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager.
- Ensure onboarding and training for associates prior to opening or closing a shift; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics.
- Schedule store associates, manage breaks, and ensure optimal staffing for guest service.
- Approve payroll, manage paid time off and time edits, and ensure accurate compensation.
- Maintain store cleanliness and merchandising per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are functional.
- Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ship daily.
- Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at closing as appropriate; report concerns to the Store Manager.
- Support the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete administrative duties.
- Conduct store inventory counts, restock merchandise, and organize products for easy access.
- Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits per guidelines.
- Verify shipments for discrepancies; conduct inventories and report discrepancies to management.
- Process defectives / recalls and stock pulls accurately; label boxes with packing lists.
- Maintain associate and guest safety; report injuries per guidelines.
- Maintain organized store records / files and up-to-date manuals.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Adhere to GameStop policies and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct; follow opening / closing procedures.
Qualifications
Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.Must be at least 18 years old.High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and / or management experience preferred.Video game knowledge preferred.Key Job Skills And Abilities

Benefits : Full-time store positions eligible for incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance.
