Financial Analyst IV

Location : Hybrid with occasional travel, located in Yulee, FL West Palm Beach, FL, Newark, DE, or Dover, DE

What you'll be working on...

  • Partners with Customer Care leadership to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans
  • Analyzes customer service cost drivers, call center performance metrics, and billing operations to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings
  • Designs, maintains, and optimizes SAP data models to support financial reporting and operational analysis for Customer Care
  • Extracts, transforms, and analyzes customer care data from SAP modules (e.g., FI / CO, IS-U, CRM) to support decision-making and performance tracking
  • Works with Customer Care leadership to develop, monitor, report and refine key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Develops dashboards and reports that visualize financial performance and operating KPIs such as aged receivables, payment metrics, cost-to-serve, call resolution rates, billing accuracy, as well as customer experience trends
  • Supports regulatory filings and rate case preparation with financial models and cost allocation analysis
  • Leads financial impact assessments for new customer programs, technology investments, staffing levels (internal and outsourced) and process improvements
  • Collaborates with IT, Operations, and Regulatory teams to ensure financial alignment across initiatives
  • Interprets data to create recommendations as necessary and present findings to Customer Operations and Finance Senior Leadership
  • Prepares executive-level presentations and reports that translate complex data into key points and actionable insights
  • Advises on internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and regulatory requirements
  • Supports the production of a monthly reporting package with variance analysis against prior year, budget, and forecast, including operating expense and / or gross margin analyses, projections, and reports
  • Owns and maintains financial statements for the budget and forecast in the financial planning system and from time to time perform general system maintenance.
  • Continuously identifies and implements improvements to financial processes and reporting, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and decision support.

Who you are...

  • Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related quantitative field. (MBA or CPA preferred)
  • Eight years of progressive financial analysis experience, preferably in a regulated utility or energy environment
  • Strong understanding of utility rate structures, regulatory frameworks, and cost recovery mechanisms
  • Hands-on experience with SAP data models and reporting tools (e.g., SAP BW, SAP HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience with ERP systems and Customer Care platforms
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
