Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, focusing on optimal recovery and management of complex cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with fresh open hearts such as CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR.
• Assist with BiPAP and CPAP management, chest tube insertion and removal.
• Conduct post-operative open heart recovery and manage complex ventilator needs.
• Monitor and manage cardiac devices including Impella and IABP, as well as CRRT using Prismaflex.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience required.
• Current NJ RN License or Compact License.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience floating to ICUs, PACU, and IMC units.
• Familiarity with multiple patient care devices and critical care monitoring systems preferred.
