As a Security Professional - Armed Manufacturing Patrol in Portsmouth, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a strong presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities include monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. This armed post requires a valid armed guard card or license. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday to Friday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgment and communication skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and promote a secure environment.
  • Report and document any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance needs observed during patrols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and support overall site operations.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to alarms or emergency calls, applying knowledge of site-specific protocols and procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable state and / or local laws.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
