Job Description & Requirements Specialty : ED - Emergency Department Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 03 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours Employment Type : Travel Job Opportunities Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - ER Shift : Variable / 12x3, 36hrs per week Length : 13 Weeks Shifts : Days : 0500-1700, 0700-1900, or 0900-2100; Mids : 1100-2300, 1200-0000, or 1300-0100; Eves : 1500-0300, Nights : 1700-0500, 1900-0700; or Variable (will group days and nights together) Requirements : WA or compact license 2 years minimum experience Skills required : general ED experience : cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, basic ED knowledge of drips and med administration, conscious sedation, blood administration, cardiac medications, experience in actual code blues, chest tubes, set-up and manage central lines (A-lines, CVP), TNK administration (preferred), must feel comfortable with ventilators, able to stabilize high acuity patients, and prepare to transfer to a higher-level care facility BLS NRP ACLS PALS MOAB / CPI NIHSS Other Details : Consider first-time Traveler : yes, if they have 4 years ED experience Patient Types : neonates to geriatrics : trauma (falls, GSW, MVAs), sepsis, COVID (w / mild to moderate s / s), STEMI, stroke, DKA, respiratory issues, cardiac issues, neuro issues, mental illness (occasional), 30% pediatrics; may deliver babies (rare and as a rule they attempt to divert; will be trained with mock drills and education and transfer mother & baby out once stabilized); will transfer high acuity, complex patients, and ventilated patients.
