Job Summary : The Civil Project Engineer / Civil Engineer in Training (EIT) will support RLG clients by providing technical expertise in design, design calculations, drawing preparation, and submission of Civil Engineering Documents.

Supervisory Responsibilities : The Civil Project Engineer / Civil Engineer in Training (EIT) works under the supervision & guidance of one or more Professional Engineers (PE) or Project Managers (PM).

Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

• Perform various civil design tasks assigned by the project managers, which include drainage design calculations, grading calculations, research, etc.
• Design, engineer, and coordinate utilities & grading for project sites. This includes layouts and drawings that utilize drafting software along with existing drawings, topography, city standards and surveying.
• Assists with CAD drawing updates and changes per markups from the project manager and / or design engineer
• Ensure that the construction plans are drafted and shown correctly by RLG standards and in accordance with city guidelines
• Research local design requirements and make sure that design meets all requirements
• Performs other related duties as assigned
