Job Summary :
The Vice President of Operations & Growth, Blavity Inc. will be a senior executive responsible for scaling operations, leading new initiatives, and strengthening the company’s resilience. This leader will bring operational rigor, the ability to launch and scale cross-functional projects, and the judgment to proactively identify and recommend opportunities for innovation once fully embedded in the organization.
In addition to driving operational excellence across the company, the VP will also lead founder-prioritized initiatives such as expanding into health or growing our consumer revenue. The role will require working across departments, filling gaps where needed, and ensuring new initiatives are integrated effectively into existing teams and systems.
Reports to the CEO with close collaboration with our Chief Business Officer / Chief Financial Officer and SVP of Live Events.
Responsibilities :
Lead high-priority initiatives such as expanding into health or growing our consumer revenue models
Take ownership of business functions, teams or initiatives that require strategic transformation, stronger monetization, or improved systems
Fill in the gaps between departments during the launch of new programs, clarifying roles and responsibilities across existing teams
Design and contribute to performance frameworks for accountability (OKRs & KPIs)
Drive continuous improvement across workflows, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration
Measures of Success :
Qualifications :
10+ years of experience in operations, strategy, or growth leadership roles
Prior experience in media / publishing, revenue operations, management consulting, private equity, venture capital, or a high-growth startup (Series B+) strongly preferred
Technical fluency and comfort with digital platforms, subscription models, and AI-driven tools.
