Intermediate Interior Designer

Overview

RBD is seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to support a Senior Designer, Design Director, and Principal on all aspects of the design process, from Initial Design Study through to Installation & Styling. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in high-end residential interior design, hospitality interior design, or interior architecture, with strong design presentation, communication, and drafting skills. Candidate will have a passion for and experience in FF&E and FF&A sourcing, combined with the technical acumen to draft construction documents and design renderings. A love of collaborative teamwork in a fast-paced environment, and a team player mentality – no task is too big or too small – is a must.

Responsibilities

• Developing overall design for projects under the direction of a Senior Designer, Design Director, and Principal.
• Developing design sketches, layouts and details under the direction of a Senior Designer, Design Director, and Principal.
• Developing client presentations with InDesign, Photoshop, and SketchUp, or similar software.
• Reviewing engineering and other consultant drawings under supervision to ensure they comply with design intent.
• Assisting design and implementation of custom furniture and millwork.
• Sourcing FF&E and FF&A.
• Preparing client budgets and specifications for purchases as needed.
• Project managing as needed, such as task management and meeting minutes.
