- Job Summary
In the Maintenance Supervisor role you must understand mechanical and technical work, have excellent leadership and supervisory skills. You will direct and oversee all daily maintenance activities including delegation of tasks, tracking mechanical performance, and directing the processes of any necessary repairs. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our equipment and production systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing maintenance schedules and teams.
- Key Responsibilities
- Oversee, manage and direct all maintenance procedures and operations
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Maintain maintenance parts room and par levels
- Ensure all machinery is up to working standards - diagnose and repair machinery, including mixers, molds, conveyors, and other precast equipment
- Assess current maintenance work processes, to optimize efficiency
- Maintains facilities and the grounds to include fixing items that are broken or worn out due to use, including trash collection
- Oversee the procurement and inventory of spare parts, tools and maintenance supplies.
- Manage proactively
- Use data analysis to help prepare for and prevent future problems
- Create and implement measures to minimize breakdowns and repairs (performing quality checks of all machinery, tools, equipment etc)
- Troubleshoot problem areas and create a clear plan of action for fixing necessary parts
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and records to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee repairs
- Train new employees in maintenance work processes and procedures
- Create a work environment with safety as a high priority
- Perform evaluations of employees to ensure quality of work
- Work closely with production and quality control teams to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
- Record and track daily progress / error reports
- Maintain vendor relationships and order new materials as needed
- Create and adhere to maintenance budgets
- Enforce all health and safety rules and regulations according to state / federal laws and company protocol

- Experience and Qualifications
_Essential Requirements_
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years relevant experience in maintenance
- Extensive knowledge in a variety of mechanical systems
- Experience managing multiple vendors
- Ability to consistently maintain positive and collaborative relationships with coworkers and vendors
- Ability to work in a factory environment with exposure to dust, noise, and heavy machinery.
- Can effectively and efficiently handle both administrative and mechanical responsibilities
- Makes safety a priority at all times
_Preferred_
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or related field preferred
- Previous managerial experience highly preferred
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite) and a solid understanding of data analysis software
- Knowledge of the precast industry preferred
_Schedule Expectations_
- This position may require mandatory work over 40 hours per week, including on call in the event of emergencies at night and on weekends.

- Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands
This is a full-time position that operates form concrete plant environment.
Routinely works in the concret the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a physically demanding role requiring the ability to move around the plan, reach outward, use a variety of tools and machinery, have use of fingers to operate various tools, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
- Physical Requirements :
- Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and push and / or pull 50-pound loads at a time.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day and climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials weighing between 40 and 75 pounds.
- Must be able to work some Saturdays and at night, when needed
