About The Role

As a Senior Design Engineer , you will be part of Reliability Engineering leading the Development and Implementation of ESD / Latchup solutions for Altera products on advanced CMOS technologies. You will lead cross‑functional teams guiding circuit design techniques for innovative ESD designs, Design Automation for verifying ESD solutions, and Technology interface to foundry on technical issues related to Reliability. This includes evaluating and defining ESD / LU methodology and working with block owners to implement ESD / LU solutions to meet product requirements. You will also review other reliability items like Aging, Electrical Overstress, Electromigration. You will assist the quality and reliability group in planning Altera Product testing and define corrective plans for design, including ESD / LU but not limited, as needed based on post silicon validation.

Salary Range

The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job‑related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.

$178,900 - $259,000 USD

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

• BS / MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience
• 7 years experience in ESD cell design and / or implementation and signoff.
• 2 years experience in Reliability
• 3 years of experience in Verilog, Spice, full custom and ASIC design flows.
• 1 year of experience of PERL / Python, TCL, Linux Shells
• Excellent execution and strong drive to close complex design issues
• Tool experience in Redhawk, Totem, RapidESD, Calibre a bonus
