We are developing sophisticated autonomous systems designed to manage and decompose complex goals. We are looking for an expert in agent design, planning, and control who can help us create and evaluate agents capable of setting, adapting, and executing goals in dynamic real-world settings. Your contributions will be vital in shaping reliable, interpretable, and robust AI agents for long-horizon tasks.
Key Responsibilities :
Design and architect goal-setting and decomposition mechanisms for autonomous agents in uncertain environments.
Implement dynamic planning systems such as hierarchical planning and self-refinement loops.
Collaborate on developing memory, tool-use, and feedback loop designs that support multi-step, self-directed agent behavior.
Create evaluation frameworks to align with human intent, ensuring consistency and progress against long-term objectives.
Prototype agents that can interface with APIs, servers, search engines, databases, and real-world actuators for safe and efficient goal pursuit.
Investigate methods to detect and mitigate goal misalignment and undesirable strategies.
Work across teams to integrate goal alignment with safety and reliability measures.
Technical Skills :
Proficient in SQL, Python, and data analysis tools.
Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Pytorch, Jax, LangChain, LangGraph, or AutoGen.
Expertise in developing high-performance, large-scale ML systems.
Familiarity with language modeling and transformers.
Experience with symbolic planning, causal reasoning, and model-based reinforcement learning.
Knowledge in large-scale ETL processes.
Qualifications :
Master's Degree and 4+ years in research or ML engineering, targeting production-ready AI solutions.
2+ years leading AI / ML system development.
Preferred Qualifications :
Ph.D. in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Machine Learning.
Demonstrated experience deploying autonomous or semi-autonomous agents in real-world applications.
Expertise in LLM-based agents with task decomposition capabilities.
Understanding of risk mitigation strategies for autonomy, such as off-switch protocols.

Pay Range : $142,300 - $195,700 per year. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on performance.
