The Steward is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. This includes carefully washing delicate dishes, pots and pans, utensils, and food preparation equipment, as well as cleaning floors, counters, and work tables to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. They must be self-driven, take pride in their work, and consistently uphold sanitation and safety regulations.
Responsibilities include :
Washing and sanitizing all kitchen tools, dishes, and equipment with care and efficiency
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of all work areas, including floors, counters, and storage spaces
Properly handling and disposing of garbage and recycling throughout the day
Receiving and organizing deliveries; safely storing products in designated areas
Assisting with restocking and maintaining par levels of kitchen supplies
Supporting the culinary team as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Adhering to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Previous stewarding, porter, or kitchen experience preferred but not required
