About The Position

Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Westlake Middle School

Location : Taylorsville, NC 28681

Shift : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM

Key Responsibilities :

Speech-Language Therapy : Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students, based on age and cognitive level.

Collaboration & Support : Coordinate and consult with teachers, educational staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into the student’s educational program.

Documentation & Compliance : Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and ensure compliance with Medicaid billing requirements for eligible students.

Individualized Planning : Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, providing updates and participating in IEP meetings.

Professional Standards : Adhere to state licensure requirements, school policies, and ethical guidelines while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Job Requirements

Requirements :

Valid North Carolina SLP License

North Carolina DPI Certification

Prior school-based experience preferred; candidates without such experience must provide :

Cover letter explaining interest in school-based work

Documentation of relevant CEUs or preparation for the school setting

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
