Responsibilities

ALTOUR has an exciting opportunity for a leader in the small to mid-market corporate travel sector! We are looking for an experienced Sr. Director, Sales in the mid-market sector to drive our corporate travel initiatives and increase new business revenue. This person will report directly to the SVP Global Sales and manage a small team of driven salespeople. Our perfect candidate will be an experienced corporate travel sales leader with the ability to manage a team and own the sales process to gain new clients. This person will be responsible for closing and contracting corporate travel accounts using effective sales and marketing techniques and coordination of available resources. They will manage a small team of Sales Reps while maintaining personal quota achievement.

Increase company revenues by means of new client acquisition

  • Manage a team of sales representatives to ensure they are achieving sales objectives while achieving personal annual sales targets
  • Development of targeted strategic business relationships at senior level with lead generation partners on a long-term basis over an extended sales cycle
  • Works with VP Partnerships to target new liquidity partners (GPOs etc)
  • Utilizes and adheres to the sales process as outlined by sales management
  • Create plans for acquisition of new midmarket business opportunities
  • Ensure thorough discovery is completed for all identified opportunities
  • Ensures profitability targets are maintained
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key prospect and existing client decision makers at all levels within the client organization, including introduction of Altour senior management to the customer

Qualifications

  • 8+ years business travel sales experience
  • Experience in closing and implementing midmarket sized customers ($500K-$5M TTV))
  • Effective communication skills, oral, written and presentation
  • Proficient in business software applications - Outreach, Salesforce, Microsoft Office
  • Thorough knowledge of business travel management and supplier landscape
  • Deep knowledge of travel industry technology
  • Ability and willingness to travel within North America
  • College degree preferred

    This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company's financial goal achievement and individual performance.
