  • Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM

    • \n

  • Every other weekend coverage required

    • \n

  • Float assignments required

    • \n

  • Patient ratios : 5 : 1 days, 6 : 1 nights

    • \n

  • 1 year of experience required

    • \n

  • LTAC experience required

    • \n

  • Unit accepts first-time travelers

    • \n

  • 36 hours of orientation provided

    • \n

  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

    • \n

  • Documentation system : Cerner (required experience)

    • \n

  • Medication system : Omnicell

    • \n

  • Communication system : SBAR

    • \n

  • Dress code : Navy blue scrubs

    • \n

  • Care for adult and geriatric patients with heart failure, AFib, AFib with RVR, stroke, and post PCI / cardiac catheterization

    • \n

  • Required skills include cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, pacemaker care, post-cardiac procedures, blood product administration, central and peripheral line management, heparin protocols, cardiac drip management, CVA care, airway management, and isolation precautions

    • \n

  • Utilize rapid response / code teams as needed

    • \n

  • Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

    This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive cardiac telemetry unit with a daily census of 160 patients, providing specialized cardiac and stroke care. The facility utilizes advanced technology including Cerner documentation systems and Omnicell medication management, while maintaining high standards for patient care through interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support.
