LocumJobsOnline is working with Aequor Healthcare to find a qualified Critical Care NP in Texas!

About The Position

Plano, TX :

Specialty : NP or PA for PICU

  • BC / BE : BC – Will look at NP’s and PA’s If provider is NP they must be Critical care certified. If they are a PA other certificates are acceptable.
  • Dates needed : ASAP ongoing
  • Schedule : Ideal locum candidates can provide at least 4-6 shifts per 4-week block;

o    Variable – days, evenings, nights, & weekends as part of a 24 / 7 / 365 coverage model

o    Weekend, Night, and Holiday work is shared equally among all team members

o    12-hour Days / Nights (0700-1900, 1900-0700)

  • Call : In-house night call responsibilities are shared among all team members who have completed orientation to nights.
  • PICU : 6-8 patients during the day; night call includes all patients assigned to team at checkout as well as any new admission assigned to the team.
  • Specialty skills and procedures : Arterial line placement, Central Venous Line Placement, Chest Tube Placement, Endotracheal Intubation, Lumbar Puncture, PICC Placement

    EMR : Epic

  • Interview process / timeline from time of presentation : Name clear,  candidate submittals, schedule 30-minute virtual teams interview and will confirm if they want to extend an offer after the interview.
  • Credentialing timeframe : 90 days
  • Any specific items needed : will need NPR certification, will also look at licensure candidate
  • Client prefers to initially offer a 13-week contract, but will consider a 26-week assignment, case-by-case
