The company is seeking an experienced Underwriter to join the team. This individual will play a critical role in evaluating and approving loan applications in alignment with the company's risk and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and underwrite loans in accordance with Trius Lending Partners' guidelines and investor standards.
• Evaluate borrower strength, creditworthiness, collateral, LTV, LTC, DSCR, and exit strategy.
• Review appraisals, BPOs, scopes of work, and title documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct credit and background checks and assess borrower repayment capacity.
• Communicate underwriting conditions clearly and assist in structuring solutions when necessary.
• Collaborate with processing and closing teams to ensure accurate and timely closings.
• Identify potential red flags and mitigate risk through sound structuring and thorough documentation.
• Recommend exceptions to executive leadership when appropriate, supported by well-reasoned justification.
• Stay current on regulatory and market guidelines impacting private lending and underwriting standards.
