Position Overview :

We’re seeking an experienced  Nurse Practitioner (NP)  to join the  Cardiothoracic Surgery team  in Lexington, KY. This is a  PRN role  providing coverage while the facility actively recruits for a full-time provider. The ideal candidate will have strong procedural skills and be comfortable in both  inpatient and OR  settings.

Position Details :

  • Schedule :  1–2 call days / week + 1 weekend / month
  • Hours :  7 AM – 7 PM
  • Start Date :  As soon as credentialed
  • Setting :  Inpatient / OR
  • FTE :  PRN
  • EMR :  Epic
  • Support Staff :  None – working directly with surgeons
  • Duties :

Surgical CT assistance

  • Vein harvesting
  • Chest tube placement

    • Requirements

    ⚙️  Requirements :

  • Active  KY NP License  (or ability to obtain one) –  Required
  • Board Certification  –  Required
  • ACLS & BLS  –  Required
  • Clean malpractice history  –  Preferred
  • Availability  clearly stated at time of submission –  Highly Preferred

    • Credentialing :

  • Timeline :  90–110 days
  • Must be credentialed at a hospital in  Lexington, KY

    • ❗  Deal Breakers :

  • No active  Kentucky license
  • Inability to perform required procedures
  • Malpractice or disciplinary issues
