Design Product Definition Engineer - Mechanical Design (Aerospace)

U.S. Citizenship Required (ITAR Compliance)

Salary : 70-90k

We're seeking an experienced Product Definition Engineer with a strong background in aerospace mechanical design, preferably within a gas turbine or turbomachinery environment. This role is hands-on, detail-driven, and central to ensuring high-quality engineering definition for production and development programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation, modification, and release of detailed 3D models and engineering drawings in Siemens NX , aligned with company and industry standards.
• Own product definition throughout the lifecycle - from concept and preliminary design through detailed design, release, and manufacturing support.
• Apply GD&T to ensure clear, manufacturable, and inspection-ready definition per ASME standards.
• Manage model / drawing configuration, change control, and documentation using Teamcenter in a controlled environment.
• Collaborate closely with design, structural analysis, manufacturing engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve discrepancies and drive hardware maturity.
• Support producibility reviews, tolerance stack-ups, and definition improvements based on supplier / manufacturing feedback.
• Ensure all work complies with ITAR, internal specs, and aerospace regulatory requirements.
