Forklift Operator - FT Morning Shift

Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks / forklifts to load and unload product and deliveries. The driver will need to move them to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks.

Key responsibilities include :

• Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
• Perform daily equipment checks, i.e., checking truck batteries
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Stack products in the correct storage bins at the direction of inventory control
• Ensure that loads are secure
• Promote a safe work environment
• Attention to details
• Use computerized scanning device (RF Gun)

This position is frequently supervised by the Warehouse Shift Supervisor.

Qualifications :

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Forklift Operations Certification is preferred (or experience with other warehouse equipment)

OSHA Certification is preferred (but not required)

Physical demands :

This position requires standing and light lifting (up to 50 pounds) for 80% of the day and stooping for 20% of the day.
