Technical Director - QA / QC - Architecture

Job Summary : The

Technical Director

will implement and maintain the approved Quality Control Plan and assist Firm leaders in enforcing this plan daily. They will develop an understanding and working knowledge of the firm's Architectural Standards, procedures, etc. and work with staff to ensure that these standards and procedures are always being followed. Items not being followed and identified by the QC Manager as needing training will be documented and incorporated into the firms training plan, which should be led by the QC Manager. Continuous mentoring will also be a significant part of this role. The QC Manager will perform quality inspections of all architectural plans prior to those plans being sent out of the office and use any markups as teaching opportunities. Time may be spent at construction site's during construction phase services to assist firm management with construction phase services.

Required Skills / Abilities :

Professional Degree in Architecture required

Licensed Architect required, with Florida license preferred

Minimum of 10 years of architectural experience, including substantial work on residential projects (custom homes, townhomes, multifamily) with a strong background in single-family

Proven experience developing QC processes and mentoring staff to improve documentation quality

Strong working knowledge of Florida Building Code and local jurisdictional requirements, particularly related to residential permitting

Demonstrated ability to train teams in residential construction practices and standards, while also mentoring staff across broader project types

While the primary focus will be residential, ability to flex into commercial projects is a plus
