We are currently seeking qualified and motivated Privacy Program Manager interested in joining our team in support of an upcoming federal contract (pending award).
This position will play a key role in delivering high-quality services to our government client and will be contingent upon contract award.
As part of this project, you will support a federally funded initiative that provides essential medical readiness services-such as exams, screenings, dental care and preventive care-to individuals in remote or underserved areas.
Services are delivered through a network of providers and mobile teams, with remote coordination and scheduling.
The program ensures consistent access to care across dispersed populations and contributes to broader public service goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Develop and administer the project's privacy program in coordination with the corporate Privacy and Data Protection Office.Implement policies, procedures, and processes to meet program and legal requirements.Support audits and risk assessments; lead implementation of findings.Deliver privacy training aligned with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.Respond to patient privacy inquiries per contract and corporate policy.Act as the primary privacy contact for project-related incidents; collaborate with Privacy and Data Protection and Information Security Offices during investigations and remediation.Oversee medical records requests with corporate support as needed.Incorporate corporate privacy policy updates into project procedures.Address privacy complaints in coordination with the Project Director and corporate / client privacy officers.Escalate and assist in investigating privacy incidents; support mitigation efforts including client notification when directed.Participate in relevant seminars and recommend policy updates based on regulatory changes.Maintain the Accounting of Disclosures log.Stay current on federal and state HIM regulations and communicate updates to project management.Review all HIM-related contract deliverables.Ensure compliance with records retention and ISO 9001 : 2008 quality standards.Lead a broad functional area through multiple department managers.Oversee planning, staffing, budgeting, and process improvements.Address complex issues requiring deep company knowledge.Contribute to corporate methods and evaluation criteria.Engage regularly with executives and major clients, applying advanced negotiation and influence skills.Report directly to the Project Director on all matters related to Privacy and Confidentiality for the Project.Responsible for incorporation of corporate Privacy Policies & Procedures changes or additions to Project Privacy Policies and Procedures.Serve as the primary Project liaison on matters related to Privacy.Take action on all complaints concerning the Project's privacy policies and procedures in coordination with the Project Director, and in collaboration with the corporate Privacy and Data Protection Office and client (agency) Privacy Officer.Support and participate in regularly scheduled meetings.Responsible for escalating all potential or actual privacy incidents to the corporate Privacy and Data Protection Office and assisting with the investigation of the incident in coordination with the corporate Privacy and Data Protection Office.Responsible for effectuating mitigations appropriate for privacy incidents, which may include Client (agency) notification, as directed by the corporate Privacy and Data Protection Office.Participate in seminars and symposiums related to federal and state rules and regulations relating to Privacy and Confidentiality and Health Information Management, recommend that appropriate changes are incorporated into the Privacy and Confidentiality Policies and Procedures for the Project.Maintain the Accounting of Disclosures log for the Project.Maintain updated knowledge of Federal and State HIM rules and regulations as related to the supported clients / projects and communicate revisions in requirements to Project Management in a timely manner.Responsible for the review of all contract deliverables related to Health Information Management (HIM) for the Project.Comply with the quality requirements detailed in records retention manuals and compiles with ISO 9001 : 2008 as related to HIM Program.Maintains updated knowledge of supported clients / projects Quality Manual for the department and position.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study.10+ years of relevant professional experience required.A minimum of 5 years' experience in a healthcare setting with the ability to initiate, develop, maximize and review policies and procedures for the operation of a healthcare compliance program including a focus on HIPAA privacy and Health Information Management.#maxcorp #LI-LT2

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.
Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package.

Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
