Shift : Monday - Friday, 1st shift available (overtime required as needed)
We are looking for a Logistics associate for our Columbus, OH facility.
Summary : To process parts through the organization. The Material Handler will be responsible for shipping, receiving, stocking, and delivering parts, supplies, and products in the organization.
Essential Duties :
- Loads, unloads, moves, and stages materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Load vehicles according to the loading diagrams and shipping procedures on time, using a forklift.
- Conveys materials to or from Storage or work sites to designated areas, using a hand truck, dolly, or other devices.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on coils, foams, accessories, or other materials.
- Stacks of assembled materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
- Operates forklift to stage materials and assist (if needed) in loading or moving materials and products.
- Count and or weigh parts to check quantity accuracy on deliveries.
- Fill out the appropriate paperwork to ship products.
- Perform transactions in the inventory system to enter new quantities, shipping transactions, and remove inventory from stock.
- Issue materials to the production upon request. (Involves transiting inventory quantities to the department and delivering the parts to the work area.
- Monitors the stockroom inventory and reports discrepancies in quantities to the supervisor.
- Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance.
- Follow Compliance requirements per “KNA-SOP-1705 Compliance Roles and Responsibilities.”
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience :
High School Diploma.Physical ability to lift heavy packages and objects. able to lift up to 75 #’s.Able to operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment or any large vehicles in tight and congested areas.High integrity, honesty, and the capability of handling situations discreetly and calmly. The individual should have a keen eye for details and must be able to accomplish work on a set deadline.Able to work in a physically demanding environment.Handling all stock items.Receiving deliveries into the warehouse.Filling orders provided by different departments.Computer Skills :
Computer experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.Other Skills and Requirements :
High level of interpersonal skillsGood to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.Physical Demands :
