About The Position

Job Title : Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Emergency Room

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night 3x12-Hour

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : 2 years required, no first-timers

License : Pending license acceptable

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS

Must-Have : Prior experience with charting systems, preferably Epic

Description :

Provide care for patients in an emergency setting.

Work with a patient ratio of 1 : 4 per shift.

Float between units as needed.

Weekends required based on department needs.

Critical care skills needed include interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of organ dysfunction / failure.

Experience with central line care, continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressors is required.

Must be capable of ventilator management and isolation precautions.

Demonstrate skills in triage and management of a diverse patient population.

A commitment to working three out of five holidays is expected.

Proficiency in handling acute cases such as trauma, stroke, chest pain, pediatrics, and behavioral health is essential.

Adhere to unit-specific protocols and procedures.

Must possess a vehicle for assignment-related travel.

Completion of required modules for the role is necessary.

References covering one year of supervisory experience within the last three years are needed prior to start.

Flexibility in schedule and the ability to float to nearby facilities may be required.
