Charlotte, NC Section Chief Psychiatry Opportunity

The Salisbury VA Health Care System is actively seeking a full- time Psychiatrist for the Charlotte Health Care Center. Position Highlights :

Manageable workload

Teaching and research opportunities with Wake Forest

8 : 00am -4 : 30pm, Monday-Friday

Call Coverage : At home, phone call 10-12 days per year.

Must have 2+ years of leadership and supervisory experience.

Optional weekend inpatient coverage for additional pay

EDRP Authorized -This position is eligible for  Education Debt Reduction Program , a student loan payment reimbursement program

Recruitment / Relocation Incentive (Sign-on Bonus) :   May be authorized for highly qualified applicants.

Requirements :

  • Board Certified / Eligible
  • Have a full, unrestricted medical license in any State.
  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Residency Training must have been completed, approved by the secretary of Veteran Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • US. Citizenship : non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
  • Must have 2 years or leadership and supervisory experience.
