Job Title : Registered Nurse Patient Navigator Profession : Registered Nurse Specialty : Operating Room, Orthopedic, Perioperative, Anesthesia / Recovery Nurse Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Monday-Thursday Hours per Shift : 0730-1700 Experience : Minimum of 3 years of inpatient or outpatient orthopedic nursing experience and / or medical / surgical experience required License : Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have : Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) Description : The Registered Nurse Patient Navigator uses perioperative-specific clinical experience and knowledge to navigate surgery patients through the perioperative diagnostic and treatment process. The Patient Navigator also performs pre-anesthesia testing for surgery patients. The Patient Navigator establishes a positive and respectful relationship with patients and their families. The Patient Navigator plays an essential role in facilitating a positive experience and outcome. Experience with electronic health record systems preferred. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Candidates must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment. Housing is to be secured by the traveler. Consider housing options in surrounding areas.
