Target Salary Range
- : $175,000 - $215,000.
- This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and / or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary
Position Overview :
Unified Communications Engineer to provide Unified Communications Engineering. This
includes desktop Video Conferencing (DVTC), Conference Room Video Teleconference
Communications (CVTC), desktop Voice Over Internet Protocol (DVOIP), Voicemail, and
Enterprise Content Delivery. The current Unified Communications infrastructure consists of
Cisco DXSO's, 8800 Series Cisco phones, Cisco MX and SX Series Conference room
equipment, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Telepresence, Cisco VBrick, Cisco
Enterprise Content Delivery, and Unity Connect voicemail.
Responsibilities :
Review and analyze the existing Unified Communications infrastructure and make recommendations for enhancementEngineer Unified Communications solutions to meet new requirements and enhancements to existing Unified Communications services to include identifying hardware refresh recommendationsPerform an AoA for periodic Unified Communications hardware refreshes following allChange Management processesCreates and documents requisite network configurationPerforms design, project management, acceptance testing, and vendor assessment activities.Communicates with internal and external groups to determine communications requirements and prepare engineering specifications to ensure functional requirements are met.Ensures the accuracy and completeness of systems documentation.Help in the design and the development of system equipment, as well as installing, and testing system equipment and implementing procedures to make all components operational.Involvement in all aspects of service delivery, from carrying out feasibility exercises anddetermining connectivity and signal access, to preparing detailed, technical, and operational documentation.Qualifications :
Information Assurance Technical (IAT) III CertificationExperience utilizing trouble ticket systems like ServiceNowExcellent customer service, writing and oral communication skillsIn-depth knowledge and understanding of LAN / WAN and Unified Communication (UC) technology, tools and servicesDemonstrated experience as a Network AdministratorAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentProfessional-level Cisco certifications desiredProblem analysis and problem solvingAttention to detail and accuracyCustomer Service orientedPreferred :
ITIL Foundations certification desiredExperience with cloud based unified communications solutionsAppropriate security certifications centering on networking and unified communicationsExperience with VTC systems and their integration within unified communications platformsEffective Communication skills - verbal and written
