Medical Assistant II
The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high-quality, low-cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. This work stems from Mass General Brigham's unified system strategy to bring healthcare closer to patients while lowering total healthcare costs. The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral and mental health, and urgent care, both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites.
Urgent care is a convenient option for patients 18 months and older who require timely medical care, but the situation is not an emergency. Because patients typically come to us when they aren't feeling their best, it is incredibly important to us that our staff members strive to provide the compassion and emotional support our patients need. We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant II to join our Urgent Care team in Northampton! The schedule expectations for this position consist of two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation. The Urgent Care Center is located at 30 Locust Street in Northampton, MA. The operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 am to 8 : 00 pm and Saturday & Sunday from 9 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm. We are open varied hours on major holidays but closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow.
