Job Title : Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location : Austin, Texas

Job Type : Full-Time | On-Site or Hybrid

Reports To : Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Board of Directors

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial direction of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in public company finance, turnaround management, and mergers & acquisitions (M&A). This role requires a hands-on leader capable of driving profitability, restructuring operations to reduce costs, and enhancing shareholder value.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company growth goals.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board regarding financial performance, risk, and opportunities.
  • Financial Turnaround & Performance Improvement
  • Lead financial restructuring and turnaround initiatives.
  • Implement effective cash flow, cost management, and capital allocation processes.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Identify and execute strategic M&A opportunities to enhance market share and increase company valuation.
  • Oversee financial due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration.
  • Public Company & Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with public company financial reporting requirements (e.g., SEC filings, SOX).
  • Maintain strong investor relations and support earnings calls, annual meetings, and public disclosures.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning process.
  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Operational Efficiency & Cost Restructuring
  • Identify areas of inefficiency and lead restructuring efforts to reduce operating costs.
  • Partner with department heads to align financial strategy with operational execution.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years as CFO of a publicly traded company .
  • Proven experience in financial turnarounds, restructuring, and M&A.
  • Deep understanding of SEC reporting, corporate governance, and public company compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX .
