About The Position

Job Title : X-Ray Technician Profession : Radiology / Cardiology Specialty : X-Ray Tech Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Variable shifts available Hours per Shift : 10 hours Experience : Minimum of 2 years required License : Valid state license required Certifications : ARRT, BLS, Fluoro Permit Must-Have : - Ability to work all outlined shifts - Willingness to float between facilities - Commitment to working 3 of the 5 holidays Description : The role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, specifically X-rays. Technicians will be responsible for a daily caseload of 30-35 scans per shift. Shifts are self-scheduled based on seniority, and the facility hopes to accommodate shift preferences. Daily work includes procedures for a variety of patient age groups, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. No call is required, but weekend coverage is expected every other weekend. The environment includes an extremely busy emergency department, handling the majority of the workload. Specialty procedures conducted are primarily orthopedic cases and some spine work. Technicians must be skilled in various procedures, including abdominal views, barium studies, and portable imaging. Support will be available from a team of staff consisting of multiple technicians working in rotation. All applicants must be prepared for potential floating between facilities as needed. References covering specific supervisory experience will be required during the compliance process.
