ABOUT WOODLAND JOB CORPS CENTER
The Woodland Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas : Electrical Wiring, Carpentry, Building Construction Technology, Culinary Arts, Advanced Training - Culinary Arts, and Hotel & Lodging.
We also assist students with job placement upon completion of their educational and career technical training.

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing overall management for facility maintenance and transportation . Provides daily oversight and quality control of all aspects of facility maintenance and transportation .
Schedule : Monday to Friday | 8 : 00 a.m. – 5 : 00 p.m.
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISION
Provides overall management for facility maintenance and transportation drivers .
Manages, supervises, and trains Job Corps’ students who are undergoing trades related to facility maintenance assigned to the department.
⚙️ RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.
Responsible for the management of facility maintenance through planning, budget control, staff training, scheduling, and evaluation.
Manages and assures quality control of all facility and equipment subcontract work performed on Center, including oversight of National Office / Facility Lessor (i.e., any 3rd party) projects as they impact Center Operations.
Coordinates with Center Management in CTST project planning sessions and CTST / Maintenance Meetings to ensure that CTST construction activities meet company quality control standards .
Develops, implements, and manages the Center’s energy conservation , preventative maintenance , and facility management plans .
Develops, manages, and ensures effective implementation of a computerized work order system , including timely corrective and preventative maintenance. Work order processing should be coordinated with CTT instructors to obtain student involvement in this process.
Prepares scopes of work required for subcontracts, with commensurate punch lists developed and completed to ensure that contractor work meets local, company, and government standards .
Ensures all staff adhere to rest and meal break requirements .
Fills staff vacancies in a timely manner. Effectively motivates, empowers, and requires staff to perform their responsibilities. Employs sound time-management and delegation skills .
Holds staff accountable for producing quality work , develops staff for career progression , and disciplines staff that fail to meet goals.
Provides training and development for new and current employees.
Creates a supportive work environment , recognizes staff accomplishments, and addresses performance concerns proactively.
Mentors, monitors, and models the Career Success Standards (CSS) as required by the PRH.
Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior.
Ensures student needs are met and that service quality is maintained. Pursues continuous improvement in all processes.
Communicates effectively — both verbally and in writing — providing clear and timely information to DOL / Company when requested.
Identifies problems, analyzes causes, and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions.
Works in collaboration with staff across all departments to ensure effective supervision and services for students.
Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director , Center Duty Officer , or Shift Manager , including temporary assignments to other departments and positions.
Performs other duties as assigned .

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent required .
Degree from an accredited school or technical certification preferred .
Three or more years of experience in a supervisory capacity .
Electrician, HVAC, and / or Plumbing license preferred .
Physical requirements :
Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and / or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
