SUMMARY :
As part of the NPH Team, the Property Engineer contributes to an excellent guest experience by performing basic repairs and addressing guest needs in a timely and supportive manner.
Essential Functions :
- Follows guest room preventive maintenance checklist.
- Completes room preventive maintenance and ensures that on completion the room is clean, and all materials removed.
- Performs basic repairs including but not limited to replacing light fixtures, repairing grout, caulking, tightening loose toilet seats, performing minor plumbing / electrical repair, painting, or wall repairs.
- Interacts with guests and addresses guest needs in a timely and supportive manner.
- Reports any serious maintenance issues, findings, or safety issues immediately to the manager / supervisor.
- Complies with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Qualifications and Skills :
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Knowledge of general maintenance skills : e.g. : carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, electrical, handyman, HVAC and pool / spa preferred.
- Proven track record of dependability and reliability.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Attention to detail.
- Communication skills.
Pay Range : $19-23
Work Environment :
This role requires work both indoors and outdoors, may require work in confined spaces and in potentially hazardous conditions such as working on electrical equipment.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift or transfer office products and supplies, up to 100 pounds; using safe lifting and transfer practices.
Frequent bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing.
